How To Install Pidgin On Mac
The CyanogenMod installer is finally available for the Mac, giving Apple fans an easier way to install at least one custom ROM onto their Android devices.
CyanogenMod Installer for Mac is currently in beta, and then it may still take a few bugs, but information technology beats having to borrow a friend'southward Windows PC or using Kick Campsite to easily install the ROM. The app makes installing CM relatively painless, condensing the whole procedure down to just a few button clicks.
The downside is that not every Android device is supported by the installer. The supported devices list contains Nexus devices like the Nexus v, Samsung devices including the Galaxy S4, and the HTC One are all supported by the installer. Sadly, phones such as the LG G2 aren't supported by the installer. Almost phones that piece of work with the Windows version of the installer will work on the Mac app. A few versions of the original Galaxy Notation and Milky way S2 won't work on the Mac, but everything else should piece of work just as well.
Also of annotation, CyanogenMod isn't a recognized Mac programmer, so you'll need to turn off Gatekeeper to run the app the first time. Hopefully future versions won't have the same requirement.
If yous take a Mac and a supported device, have at it. If you're device isn't supported, there are other, more complicated ways to get custom ROMs on your phone from a Mac if yous accept the time.
Is this the release you've been waiting for? Or are you disappointed your phone isn't supported?
